Most of you have probably figured it out; however, I would like to clarify for you. The VT course will begin with a diagnostic test and could possibly start each student at the beginning of the year. Teachers have started students where they left off at spring break. Students will then be able to scroll through the list of lessons to find the ones the teachers have assigned. I hope this helps. If not please do not hesitate to reach out to us. By now, you may have been contacted by your child’s teachers regarding specific lessons for class. If you have not, communication is on the way. Teachers have provided specific lesson outlines for each content that has been posted on our school website. To assess our school website, go to sms.sumnerschools.org and click on the Shafer online learning tab at the top right of the home page. Choose the grade for your student and you will find lessons outlines for all content areas including related arts and Special Education resources. We will be adding more in the coming days, so please check back often! We are mindful that everyone may not have internet access; therefore, students’ grades will not be affected in anyway. It is recommended that those students continue to read at home at the very least. If you have challenges accessing the information, please reach out to the teacher directly.
